مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِMaster of the Day of Judgment

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُYou alone we worship and You alone we ask for help

اهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِيمَGuide us to the straight path

صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْThe path of those whom You have blessed

اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُAllah — the Self-Sufficient

لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْHe did not beget, nor was He begotten

و-ل-د→

وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌAnd there is none equal to Him

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَAnd from the evil of an envier when he envies

أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِHave you seen the one who denies the Deen?

✓

فَذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَThat is the one who drives away the orphan

د-ع-ع→

✓

وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِAnd does not encourage feeding the poor

ح-ض-ض→

✓

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَSo woe to those who pray

و-ي-ل→

✓

الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَThose who are heedless of their prayer

س-هـ-و→

✓

الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاءُونَThose who make show of their deeds

ر-أ-ي→

✓

وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَAnd withhold small acts of kindness

م-ع-ن→

الْفِيلAl-Fil — The Elephant · 5 verses · 5 lessons

أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِHave you not seen how your Lord dealt with the Elephant?

ف-ع-ل→

أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍDid He not make their plan into ruin?

ك-ي-د→

✓

وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَAnd He sent upon them birds in flocks

ط-ي-ر→

✓

تَرْمِيهِم بِحِجَارَةٍ مِّن سِجِّيلٍPelting them with stones of baked clay

ر-م-ي→

✓

فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَّأْكُولٍAnd He made them like eaten straw

ع-ص-ف→

الَّذِي أَطْعَمَهُم مِّن جُوعٍ وَآمَنَهُم مِّنْ خَوْفٍWho fed them from hunger and gave them safety from fear
